The climax to the original trilogy sees our heroes reunited,Anakin redeemed and the death and fall of both the Emperor and the Empire STAR WARS:EPISODE VI:RETURN OF THE JEDI.
With the fall of the Empire we see a brother and sister finally reunited,Han and Leia come together and Luke redeems his father through his selfless act of love and sacrifice which brings Anakin back from the shadows of the dark side to destroy his master. The reveal scene is particularly affecting and doubtless remains as powerful now as ever.
PRODUCTION-MADE PYROTECHNIC Y-WING FIGHTER
This has now ben updated with the custom display case that I have had made for it by the great services of Creative Laser Solutions. The piece is being kept in shape by a system of acrylic stands so it did not have to be adhesively connected as I felt the piece should not be altered from it's production condition.Serving as a backdrop and emphasis is an original ROTJ ILM storyboard featuring a Y-Wing being chased down by a TIE over a Mon Cal Star Cruiser. The screen capture above is the sequence depicted in the backdrop storyboard.A wonderful display.Created by the chief model-maker for the film Ease Oweyoung this is a pyrotechnic Y-Wing fighter which was unfinished and saved from certain doom! The main fuselage of the fighter is hollow to allow for placement of the SFX pyro charges and there are markings on both the hull and fuselage to map out where the charges were to be placed.Though incomplete this is a very rare piece and few examples of this kind of model are to be found. The undoubted centerpiece of my collection.A magnificent piece of Star Wars history and I am honoured to have it.
SCREEN-USED DEATH STAR II SURFACE SECTION
This is a screen-used surface section from the Death Star II.Made of biscuit foam and hand painted this piece would have been used for both close-up shots and altitude shots. My first screen-used piece from ROTJ so I am really happy to have this.
"That thing's operational!"
SCREEN-USED DEATH STAR SURFACE SECTIONS
These are two slightly smaller sections of the Death Star II surface used in the film. They are still fantastically detailed showing further still the level of dedication and attention to detail that went into these miniatures.
PRODUCTION-MADE MINIATURE BIKER SCOUT HEAD AND MINIATURE LUKE/LEIA ENDOR PONCHO HELMET
These are a production-made miniature Biker Scout head and a miniature Luke/Leia Endor poncho helmet. Both pieces were made for the speederbike chase on Endor though unfinished and unused for the scene. As a kid the Biker Scouts really were one of my favourite Imperials as they had such a unique look and the speederbike chase on Endor is one of the most memorable and famous scenes in the film so these pieces, those unusued for the screen, are fantastic additions.I have never seen any other miniature Biker Scour pieces in other collections (though this does not preclude them being there!) so I am very, very pleased to have these unique pieces from Jedi.
This is a great companion piece to my production speeder bike miniatures set. This is an original ILM production storyboard of a Biker Scout in full flow and the board alsostates elements required being Biker miniatures so it acts as a good reference and companion to the other pieces which is whu I include it here.A nice addition to these great ROTJ production pieces.
